Other Useful Lines
Palmisty can be a very enlightening process. How are you going so far? Rather than give away all the secrets in one guide, I have decided let you go off and practice what you have learned so far. There are hundreds of very detailed books on the subject, enabling you to go as deep into the subject as you would like to go. For those who wish to go past the basics, there follows a brief introduction to the other major lines of the hand.

D. Girdle of Venus

E. Sun Line

F. Health Line

G. Fate Line

H. Intuition Line

I. Family Ring

D. Girdle of Venus
Starts: - between the mounts of Jupiter and Saturn
Ends: - between the mounts of Sun and Mercury

Traditions says this line indicates emotional sensitivity, especially on a broad hand. It's presence may show the person to be temperamental, easily upset, restless and who is prone generally to mood swings. As a result, holders of the Girdle are prone to depression. TOP

E. Sun Line
Starts: - Usually near or on the Neptune mount, or from the fate line.
Ends: - Somewhere near the Sun Mount.

The Sun line is also known as the Line of Sucess, Fortune or the Apollo Line, and shows potential sucess, talent and ability. Sun Lines may not always be present, or they may run so close to the Fate Line as to be mistaken as such. A well-marked Sun line suggests a sensitive nature, but is capable and willing to work hard. These people are often well liked and admired. Broken Sun lines can show many small acheivements, missing Sun Lines can show a constant struggle to acheive. TOP

F. Health Line
Starts: - on or near the lower life Line.
Ends: - on or near the Mercury Mount.

The Hepatica, Liver or Mercury Line is best known in the West is the Health Line, and shows the health possibilities of the holder. A strong but broken line can point to a sensitive person, prone to stress related problems, especially if the line is broken into segments. For this reason, may Palmists beleive health is better if this line is missing from the hand. The Health Line can also change its form and depth faily regularly, suggesting that the line is only an inducation of present health matters, whereas the Life Line is the main guide to illness. A stong line which doesn't touch the Life Line indicates a health concious individual, with a robust constitution and a lack of serious problems. As health is a delicate subject, never assume to make upsetting definite predictions. TOP

G. Fate Line
Starts: - from near the wrist.
Ends: - on the Saturn Finger or Mount

This line is the most important one to look at when asked about career, and the line is also known as the Line of Destiny, Career Line and the Saturnian Line. It relates generally to success, ambition and failure as well as other peoples influences and external obstacles. People with well defined Fate Lines are said to be steady careerwise, with a high sense of duty and disipline. It also showns the influence of Fate in a particular life and the willingness to accept (or believe) in it. If the Fate Line starts on the Luna Mount, leaning towards the outside of the palm, the person is more likely to be independent. Should the line appear at the head line, success may come in later in life. Again, a fork at the end shows good fortune and breaks or forks in the middle show possible career changes. TOP

H. Intuition Line
Starts: - near the wrist, often from the Luna Mount
Ends: - on the Mount of Mercury.

Also known as the Line of Inspiration, the fate line runs in a semi-circle along the outside edge of the hand near the Health Line. The appearance if this line can show an intuitive nature, with good perception and foresight. They may or may not be psychic, but will usually experience vivid dreams and abundant energy. The person concerned is likely to be very impressionable and sensitive, have a good memory, but also a nervous side. A missing Intuition Line doesn't necessarily show a lack of intuition (especially if they have a pychic cross) - there may still be a weaker form of instinct. TOP

I. Family Ring
Starts: - at the base of the Thumb
Ends: - at the base of the Thumb

A Family Ring (or Ring of Venus) is often a serious of cuts or chains which circles around the base of the thumb, below the third phlange. If the line is strong, there will certainly be an obvious loyalty towards relationships and the family. If the line is faint, there is likely to be a weaker family bond. A line which gets weaker shows a tie which has reduced over the years. TOP
